Coach Jay Wright
Villanova University Wildcats
In his nine years at Villanova, Coach Wright has been no stranger to success. Villanova has earned NCAA Tournament invitations in each of the last five seasons under Wright’s direction. It is only the third time in the program’s 88 years that the `Cats have authored a streak of four or more consecutive tournament appearances (1969-72, 1980-86). The 2008–09 season was a record setter for the Wildcats. In their first 30 win season, Nova was able to reach the Final 4 of the NCAA Tournament for the fourth time in school history. For his efforts, Jay received Big East Coach of the Year among several other accolades. We’re glad Jay will be able to assist the Coaches vs. Cancer Program for many years to come.
