The American Cancer Society’s Coaches vs. Cancer Jim Maloney Golf Classic honors the memory of former Temple Men’s Basketball Coach Jim Maloney. The Golf Classic gives fans and business leaders an opportunity to enjoy a fun filled day of golf with Philadelphia’s Division I college basketball coaches. Whether you are admiring one of Jay Wright’s long drives or helping Bruiser Flint find his ball in the woods, you’ll be helping the American Cancer Society take a step closer to finding a cure.

Coaches vs. Cancer Women in Sports Initiative
WHO WE ARE:
Women in Sports is the American Cancer Society Coaches vs. Cancer program’s newest initiative. The goal of the initiative is to engage women through a series of interactive educational networking opportunities that provide a platform to promote cancer awareness and healthier living; while raising funds to support the Coaches vs. Cancer mission.
GUIDELINES/PRINCIPLES:
STAY WELL: Promote healthy living techniques and practices among women
GET WELL: Provide American Cancer Society Resources to help recently diagnosed women make decisions and guide them through a cancer diagnosis
FIND CURES: Keep women up to date on the latest research that helps better understanding, preventing, and curing cancer.
FIGHT BACK: Create a networking forum where women can share experiences and rally peers and communities to join the fight to BEAT Cancer!
